Seisho Itokazu Sensei is the Kancho (Chief Instructor) of the legendary Kodokan Dojo in Okinawa,
Shinpo Matayoshi Sensei Dojo. Itokazu Sensei holds the rank of Hachi Dan (8th Dan) in Matayoshi
Kobudo and Kyu Dan (9th Dan) in Kounan Ryu Karate (Uechi Ryu).
With almost 60 years of Okinawan martial arts training under his belt, Itokazu Seisho Sensei is part
of an elite cohort of modern day martial arts instructors. Itokazu Sensei’s father played a prominent
role in the developemtn of the Uechi Ryu style, and Sensei continues that family tradition to this day
as Kancho at the Seibukan Dojo in Naha. With over 50 years experience training Matayoshi Kobudo, he
has been recognized by the Matayoshi family as the technical director of the organiaztion, entrusted
with carrying on the art and tradition of this Okinawan martial art.
A retired police officer and former member of the Service's elite Close Protection Team, Marshall Sensei almost 40 years of martial arts experience. In addition to traditionalGoju Ryu Karate, he has studied Judo, pressure point tactics,unarmed combat (combined non-classical Aikido and Jujitsu),tactical police baton, police officer safety tactics and weapons retention and disarming. Sensei Marshall has trained with some of the very best karate-ka including Master Yagi Meitatsu.
Berto Sensei has actively taught Seibukan Shorin Karate for over thirty years both nationally and internationally. Sensei Berto is the chielf instructor of the western region for the United States Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate Association. Director of Alaskan Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate Association, Secretary Treasurer for the International Okinawan Shorin Ryu Seibukan Karate Association, and a member of the Senior Executive Board for IOSSKA. Sensei Berto has also studied Tai Chi and Aikido in depth.
